Lovato began her acting career at the age of seven on the children’s television series Barney & Friends as Angela, appearing in seasons seven and eight alongside long time friend Selena Gomez.
She is an American actress and singer-songwriter. She is best known for her roles as Mitchie Torres in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock and its upcoming sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam,(coming this summer on july 13th) and as Sonny Munroe in Sonny With a Chance (season 1 & 2)
As a solo musical artist, Lovato released her debut album Don’t Forget on September 23, 2008. The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 selling over 89,000 copies in the first week. Lovato released her second album, Here We Go Again, on July 21, 2009. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 selling over 108,000 copies in the first week.

Personal Life:
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Lovato admitted to going through painful experiences with bullying in the seventh grade. According to Demi, the bullying was so bad that one day, in a fit of frustration and distress, she requested her mom give her a home-schooled education.In an MTV interview, Lovato stated that she likes metal music, especially black metal and metalcore. She called symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir “one of her favorite live acts”
In the March 2009 issue of Teen Vogue, Demi stated, “My first passion is music, because it comes naturally to me. Acting has been like a hobby.”
Lovato is a Christian and prays with her band before they perform. Her best friend is Selena Gomez, whom she has known since Lovato “asked her to sit on my jacket and draw with crayons with me” at the Barney & Friends auditions, but the past year rumors were saying that Delena (as the fans call them) was torn apart because Selena was too busy with promoting her new album and became friends with Taylor Swift and Demi started to spend more time with Miley Cyrus. And the rumors were confirmed - Demi and Selena arent best friends anmore but Demi said that they are still in contact and that no matter what she will always love her. Demi briefly dated Metro Station singer Trace Cyrus; the two ended their relationship in July 2009 due to conflicting schedules, according to Cyrus. On March 12, 2010, Demi confirmed that she had begun dating Joe Jonas, whom she first met while filming Camp Rock in 2007. That was a very big shock for the fans since both Joe and Demi were always saying that they are just friends but seems that sparkles showed up during the sequel of their movie - Camp Rock 2! Jemi (Joe & Demi) both admited that they’re very happy tofether and looking towards to a very happy moments together!
